Juicy and delicious. Sandwich was thicccc. Sandwich was advertised as nashville hot sandwich, but had almost no heat. I was expecting the typical baptism in chili oil followed up with scorching hot powder. Maybe there was some drizzled on, but no baptism. Bacon and yellow cheese was a nice add on to the sammie. ”

I am assuming there is a little bit of communication challenges, because I was ordering for my father and I ordered a single piece of catfish for me just to try. What I found out I paid for was two fish sandwiches (and a drink). I ordered mine 'hella-hot' and was expecting a red, pepper coated slab of something, but what came out was two beautiful, beautifully cooked pieces of catfish fillets. They were on white bread, which even by itself was delicious. The onion and pickle garnish was a nice touch. There was heat, but not what I was expecting. I am glad to say the heat level complimented the fish, so that the fish was the star of the dish. It was juicy, and cruchy and delicious. I do not regret him making the mistake of not giving me one piece of fish because after the first one, I would have had to wait for another one. I have to say it was one of, if not the best piece of catfish I have put in my mouth. I recommend for the fish. I will have to return to try the chicken (takes about 25min to cook so maybe order ahead). ”

The whole leg was cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin that just hit the right level of spice. It came with two slices of bread and a cup of ranch on the side, but honestly, the chicken was so flavorful that I didn’t even end up using the ranch. At just 9.99, it was a great deal for such a satisfying meal. My wife opted for the Philly cheese loaded fries, and let me tell you, they were a treat! The fries were topped with tender Philly steak, savory green peppers, onions, and jalapenos, making each bite a burst of flavor. Like me, she chose to skip the ranch on the side, as the toppings were so delicious on their own. Overall, I would highly recommend both the hot leg quarter and the Philly cheese loaded fries. Hella Hot Chicken has a welcoming vibe and serves up some seriously tasty food that showcases the best of Nashville's hot chicken scene. Don’t miss out if you’re in the area! ”

“ I like it. Not your big Hot Chicken establishment but it's good. I see people complain about the grease, but all "Hot Chicken" is greasy because of the process it takes to make it that way. I've only had the chicken hot. I've had the fish hot and regular, I prefer the fish regular. It was hot light and crispy. Definitely not a place to park at this spot, this is a pickup and go type of deal. Place is clean and when I go in they are always friendly. ”

“ Hella Hot Chicken yet again delivered a great meal! The fried catfish- well spiced, juicy,flaky fish, right off the fryer. The fried ravioli- crunchy, stuffing was soft and flavorful, marinara sauce was light and went well with it. The Chicken Wings- crunchy, garlic Parmesan, the drumsticks were “ugggge” huge! Absolutely delicious! The fries were crunchy and soaked well with the juices from the chicken wings. The lemonade was just right: not too sweet, refreshing, and thirst quenching. The customer service is top notch, a great mom and pop family ran business, customer service and hospitality are awesome. ”
